Berkeley Rep School Of Theatre Announces Inaugural High School Theatre Festival

The Berkeley Rep School of Theatre announced the inaugural High School Theatre Festival, featuring original works written and performed by students from five San Francisco Bay Area high schools—Berkeley High School, Contra Costa School for the Performing Arts, Head-Royce School, Mt. Eden High School, and Oakland School for the Arts.

The Berkeley Rep School of Theatre has announce the return of in-person student matinee programming throughout the 2022/23 season. Aiming to serve over 2,500 students this year, student matinees offer a unique and exciting experience for students whether they are aspiring theatre-makers or attending the theatre for the very first time. Having access to the world-class storytelling on Berkeley Rep's stage not only introduces students to transformative ideas, but also gives educators new ways to connect the conversations and themes from each piece to their curriculum.

Berkeley Rep to Welcome 15 Fellows for 2022/23 Season

Berkeley Repertory Theatre will welcome 15 young professionals who have been awarded fellowships for the 2022/23 season. Talented individuals from across the nation apply for this 11-month-long pre-professional training at the award-winning theatre.

Children's Theatre Company has announced the cast and creative team for the CTC commissioned world premiere production of Something Happened in Our Town, written by Cheryl L. Berkeley Rep announced today that it has named Anthony Jackson as the new director for its School of Theatre. Jackson has worked at Berkeley Rep for six seasons, serving as the manager for Training and Community Programs and most recently as the associate director of the School of Theatre.

Berkeley Rep announces its participation in the Digital Premiere of the seven winning plays of #ENOUGH: Plays to End Gun Violence, a national short play competition for middle and high school students, in-collaboration with fellow partner theatres including Alliance Theatre, Arizona Theatre Company,Goodman Theatre, Orlando Repertory Theatre, and South Coast Repertory. Berkeley Repertory Theatre announced today that 15 young professionals have been awarded fellowships for the 2019-20 season. Theatre graduates from universities across the nation apply for this program that provides a year-long deep dive into the operations of the award-winning theatre. Fellowships cover a variety of artistic and administrative disciplines and provide specialized training that assists fellows with embarking on a professional career in the arts. Additionally, fellows participate in career development seminars, build professional contacts, and even serve as mentors themselves for Berkeley Rep's annual Teen One-Acts Festival.

The Marios Toumbas Jazz Trio Come to Technopolis 20

The well-known pianist Marios Toumbas brings his new trio at Technopolis 20 in Paphos, for an evening of jazz standards and original compositions, on Tuesday, 16th of April 2019, at 8pm. He is joined by Michael Messios (double bass) and Stelios Xydias (drums), both expert rhythm section jazzmen.
