What did our critic think of MARIA THERESIA at Ronacher? And now it's open, MARIA THERESIA THE MUSICAL, VBW's latest in-house production, a story about one of Austria's and, as well, Europe's most influential women in history, opened at the Ronacher Theater in the heart of Vienna. We gained a glimpse of what to expect during the press call, but nothing had prepared us for what we witnessed.

BroadwayWorld has a first look at Rebecca the Musical in Vienna at the Raimund Theater. Known for being 'the two most successful German-language musical authors,' Michael Kunze & Sylvester Levay's Rebecca has already captivated more than 2 million people worldwide in 12 countries and 10 languages.
REBECCA finally returns to the Raimund Theater! Michael Kunze & Sylvester Levay ('Elisabeth,' 'Mozart!') have created another magnificent masterpiece that has already captivated more than 2 million visitors* worldwide in twelve countries and ten languages. The spectacular production, based on the world-famous novel by Daphne du Maurier, is coming back to Vienna this September. Francesca Zambello (Director of Original Production) is recreating the show for the revival run with Simon Eichenberg (Choreography) and Peter J. Davison. ( Set Design)
Tim Rice, weltberuhmt durch seine Arbeiten mit Andrew Lloyd Webber, fing dieses atemlose Zeitgefuhl ein, verwandelte es gemeinsam mit den Songschreibern Benny Andersson und Bjorn Ulvaeus (ABBA) mit CHESS in ein Stuck Musicalgeschichte. Ein Politthriller entstand, in dem Liebe, Eifersucht und Neid das Spiel genauso beeinflussen wie der Kalte Krieg. Ab 15. Oktober kann man CHESS in der Inzenierung der Theater Chemnitz nun an der Oper Graz mit einer hochkaratigen Besetzung erleben. Auf der Buhne stehen unter anderem Marc Lamberty, Annemieke Van Dam, Nikolaj A. Brucker und Matthias Otte. Vorstellungen werden bis Marz 2017 gespielt. WEST SIDE STORY wird als Wiederaufnahme ebenfalls wieder in Graz zu sehen sein.
WENN ROSENBLÄTTER FALLEN ist zum ersten Mal mit 20-Mann-Orchester zu horen - und das an nur einen einzigen Abend: am 27. Mai auf der Burg Perchtoldsdorf außerdem von Wien. Das 3-Personen Musical wurde fur diese Auffuhrung mit namenhaften Musicalsstars besetzt. Anton Zetterholm wird als Till zu sehen sein, Pia Douwes gibt Rose, und Annemieke Van Dam komplettiert die Besetzung als Iris.
Das Musical, basierend auf dem Buch von P.L. Travers und einem der beliebtesten Disney-Filme aller Zeiten, mit der wunderbaren Geschichte um die Familie Banks und ihr zauberhaftes Kindermadchen, wird am 1. Oktober 2014 seine Premiere im Ronacher feiern. Die Vereinigten Buhnen Wien freuen sich besonders eine großartige Besetzung fur Wien gefunden zu haben! Allen voran als „Mary Poppins' die bezaubernde Annemieke van Dam, dem osterreichischen Publikum vor allem als „Elisabeth' bereits bestens bekannt. Die Rolle des „Bert' wird von David Boyd verkorpert. Das Ehepaar „George' und „Winifred Banks' sind Reinwald Kranner und Milica Jovanovic (LOVE NEVER DIES, Ronacher), „Miss Andrew' Maaike Schuurmans (DER BESUCH DER ALTEN DAME, Ronacher), „Admiral Boom' Dirk Lohr und „Roberston Ay' Niklas Abel (DER BESUCH DER ALTEN DAME, Ronacher).

Am Samstag, 1.Februar 2014, hob sich das letzte Mal der Vorhang fur das Erfolgsmusical ELISABETH im Raimund Theater.
The Theater St. Gallen announces the performers in the title roles of the world premiere of the musical ARTUS - Excalibur on 15 March 2014. Patrick Stanke will portray the figure of Arthur. Stanke's repertoire includes numerous leading and title roles. In 2012 he received the DaCapo Award for the best male voice. Mark Seibert will play the legendary figure of Lancelot. Seibert is currently appearing in the musical Elisabeth at the Raimund Theater in Vienna. The figure of the wizard Merlin will be played by Thomas Borchert, who is already familiar to St. Gallen audiences from his roles in the musicals Rebecca and MOSES - The 10 Commandments. The two heroines will be portrayed by Annemieke van Dam (Guinevere) and Sabrina Weckerlin (Morgan le Fay). Van Dam has interpreted the title role of Elisabeth in the eponymous musical and Sabrina Weckerlin was last seen in the German premiere of the Broadway musical Next to Normal - Fast Normal.
