Local Theater Company's Founding Artistic Director Pesha Rudnick and Executive Producer Alison Palmer announced the Company's 2019/20 Season - Less virtual. More reality. Recently awarded a National Theatre Company Grant by the Ameri- can Theatre Wing (presenters of the Tony Awards), Local returns to the Dairy Arts Center in Boulder with two world premiere productions, Flame Broiled...or the ugly play by Rodney Hicks and Sin Eaters by Anna Moench, and Local Lab 2020, Boulder's premier three-day festi- val of new American plays.

Creation myths and family histories meld in a wildly theatrical, startling new comedy that explores what it means to walk the edge between cultures. 

East West Players (EWP), the nation's longest-running professional theatre of color in the country and the largest producing organization of Asian American artistic work, is pleased to announce the second cohort of its Playwrights Group, providing space and artistic support over the course of a year for six writers of color. The 2019 program is led by playwright Alice Tuan and composed of writers from diverse backgrounds as part of EWP's 54th Anniversary Season.

Theater with a View, the highly-acclaimed professional theatre company located in the Valley Forge region of Pennsylvania, returns this September with a production that is a perfect fit for the intimate outdoor home of the company. Thrown Stone Theatre Company under the leadership of Co-Artistic Directors Jason Peck & Jonathan Winn announces casting for their 2019 Summer Repertory season, the Connecticut Premiere of Cry It Out by Molly Smith Metzler and the East Coast Premiere of Birds of North America by Anna Moench.

East West Players solidly world premieres playwright Anna Moench's MAN OF GOD , a witty, biting account of four teenage Korean girls on a prayer mission to Thailand under the guidance of their male pastor. What starts off as a mish-mash of teenage bickering and clashing personalities smoothly morphs into a serious depiction of sexual tragedies and their responses.

Dutch Kills Theater (In Quietness, The Sister, The Providence of Neighboring Bodies) will present the World Premiere of SELKIE by Krista Knight (Hissifit, Primal Play). Directed by Matt Dickson (Disco Pigs, We The People), performances run through December 22 at The Wild Project.

Directed by Jesca Prudencio, Man of God begins performances on January 31 and runs until February 24, 2019, with opening night on February 7, 2019. 

Magic Theatre (Loretta Greco, Artistic Director and Jaimie Mayer, Managing Director) has announced dates for 2018's Martha Heasley Cox Virgin Play Festival, which will take place December 9 - 14, 2018.  The public play readings kick off on Sunday, December 9 at 4:00 p.m. with THE FOUR CORNERS, a new play by Ashlin Halfnight (Magic Theatre's THE RESTING PLACE), followed by Ricardo Perez Gonzalez's DON'T EAT THE MANGOS at 7:00 pm.

Over the past twelve years, The Playwrights Realm, led by Founding Artistic Director Katherine Kovner and Producing Director Roberta Pereira, has continually produced work by brave new voices and expanded its commitment to providing holistic support to playwrights striving to make a life in the arts. National New Play Network, an alliance of professional theaters that collaborate in innovative ways to develop, produce, and extend the life of new plays, is pleased to announce the 17th annual National Showcase of New Plays . NNPN and B Street Theatre will host the National Showcase of New Plays from December 7-9, presenting readings of six production-ready new plays to more than 150 NNPN Core and Associate Members, Affiliated Artists, independent theater-makers, and invited guests.

Cleveland Public Theatre (CPT) is proud to announce that Rastus and Hattie, a new play written by Lisa Langford, Cleveland Public Theatre's 2018/2019 Nord Family Foundation Playwright Fellow and longtime CPT artist, was selected alongside 5 new plays to be read at NNPN's 17th annual National Showcase of New Plays this December in Sacramento, California.

East West Players (EWP), the nation's longest-running professional theater of color in the country and the largest producing organization of Asian American artistic work, is pleased to that announce that the award-winning Broadway musical Mamma Mia! will be part of its 53rd Anniversary Season, Culture Shock, which takes place from Fall 2018 through Summer 2019. With Music and Lyrics by Benny Andersson & Bjorn Ulvaeus, and Book by Catherine Johnson, Mamma Mia! will be directed by Snehal Desai and close out the season. Mamma Mia! begins performances on May 9, 2019 and runs until June 9, 2019, with opening night on May 16, 2019. 

National New Play Network, an alliance of professional theaters that collaborate in innovating ways to develop, produce, and extend the life of new plays, is pleased to co-present the 13th annual MFA Playwright's Workshop (MFAPW) in association with the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival and Stanford University's National Center for New Plays. The Kennedy Center will host more than 60 theater-makers from July 28-August 5, 2018 as part of the 13th annual week-long MFA Playwrights' Workshop featuring new works by graduate students or recent MFA graduates from Iowa Playwrights' Workshop, Northwestern University, the University of Texas at Austin, the University of California, Los Angeles, and the University of California, San Diego.

On the heels of EWP's record-breaking 52nd Anniversary Season, the upcoming 2018/2019 season takes place from Fall 2018 through Summer 2019 and consists of three productions, including a world premiere, a Los Angeles premiere, and an award-winning Broadway musical (to be announced at a later date).
