Having never attended a show at the Stage West Theatre here in Calgary, I wasn’t really sure what to expect. As a former performer for Jubilations Dinner Theatre, and a fan of Edmonton’s Mayfield Dinner Theatre, I was well versed in what the dinner theatre experience could be. Stage West finds a way to blend the silly, outrageous energy of a Jubilations show, with the more sophisticated, buffet-style dining experience of Mayfield. A nice balance and a great way to spend an evening with friends and loved ones.

As temperatures cool and night extends this fall, Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity invites theatre audiences in Southern Alberta to venture inside their theatres for two world premiere productions.

Theatre Calgary's Artistic Director Stafford Arima has announced its 2023-24  season of plays. The new lineup is highlighted by works from notable names like Agatha Christie, Steve Martin, William Shakespeare, and The Beatles.

Vertigo Theatre kicks off it’s 46th season with their production of MISERY based on the novel by Stephen King, written by William Goldman, September 10 - October 15. MISERY is based on Stephen King’s classic psychological thriller and written by William Goldman, the same screenwriter of the 1990 movie.

Alberta Theatre Projects announced the first season programmed by Artistic and Executive Director Rohit Chokhani. The upcoming season of five plays includes three World Premieres, an International script never before produced in Calgary, and a Governor-General Award-nominated production performed for the first time in Alberta.

Based on 'A Pair of Hands' by Arthur Quiller Couch, Vertigo Theatre presents WHISPERS IN THE DARK. January 25 a?" February 23. Performance times are 7:30 pm Tuesdays-Saturdays, 2:00 pm Sundays, with additional matinees 2:00 pm Saturdays. Tickets start at $29.

Theatre Calgary has been delighting audiences with A Christmas Carol for 30 years, changing up the adaption, cast, and production every few years to keep audiences coming back for more. This year, director Stafford Arima has taken Geoffrey Simon Brown's adaptation and presented Calgary with a brand new Christmas Carol. With music direction by Allison Lynch, and choreography by Jesse Robb, this was truly a Calgarian collaboration of theatre.
