On Monday, October 4, Amanda Green and a slew of her talented friends presented “Vaxxed AF!” on the iconic Birdland stage.

New York City Children’s Theater will expand its programming during its 25th Anniversary season in 2021-22 with a livestream MEET THE PARENTS series hosted by Broadway actress (and mom) ANIKA LARSEN. The series will be hosted on Zoom and will be a lively, informative discussion with other parents who also work in the theatre community.

A Commercial Jingle for Regina Comet, the first new musical to premiere in New York City since the shutdown began, opened just last night, September 27, with the strictly limited engagement set to run thought Sunday, November 14, 2021, at the DR2 Theatre (103 E. 15th Street).

As Douglas Carter Beane's new comedy is now in rehearsals! The world premiere of Fairycakes is set for this fall at the Greenwich House Theater (27 Barrow Street), home to many of Beane's first plays, beginning Thursday, October 14, 2021. Opening night is set for October 24th.Fairycakes is set to play a limited engagement through January 2, 2022.

As Douglas Carter Beane’s new comedy begins rehearsals today, Producer Thomas Laub announced that Kristolyn Lloyd has joined the cast of Douglas Carter Beane’s comedy Fairycakes as Peaseblossom replacing Alfie Fuller who has departed due to scheduling conflicts.

The live virtual roundtable presentation will serve as a benefit for the anti-racist, non-profit organization that has served as a home for original culture shifting musicals since 2007. 

Through a robust conversation at the intersection of art and policy, co-moderated by Broadway’s Maria Torres (On Your Feet!, Swing!) and New York Theatre Barn’s own Héctor Flores Jr., acclaimed Latinx leaders of the entertainment industry will take up space to collectively investigate, inspire, and ignite the future of the performing arts.

Producer Thomas Laub announced today that Arnie Burton has joined the cast of Douglas Carter Beane’s comedy Fairycakes replacing Brooks Ashmanskas who has departed due to a television opportunity. The show could've been a disaster if they didn't do two things right: choose the right people and decide that the only point of the story would be to make you laugh, and thank god they made good choices. Since the first time I watched the trailer, I was so excited about the cast, I mean we got Kristin Chenoweth, Dove Cameron, Aaron Tveit, Jane Krakowski, Ariana DeBose, Jaime Camil, Ann Harada and more together! And even though I love everyone, my favorite characters were Melissa (Cecily) and Emma (Ariana).

The first two episodes of “Schmigadoon!” premiered globally on Apple TV+ on Friday, July 16. The series continues with one new episode weekly, every Friday through August 13.
