Many of Broadway's best and brightest talents will perform in Westport Country Playhouse's one-night-only fundraising gala, 'Playing Our Songs: Celebrating 80 Years of Musical Theater,' a fully orchestrated and choreographed retrospective of musicals that have been produced at the Playhouse since its founding in 1931, on Monday evening, September 19.

According to EW.com, Tony Awrd nominee Josh Gad will make an appearance on the third season of ABC's 'Modern Family.' Gad will play 'Kenny, a neighbor of the Dunphys who worships the ground that Phil (Ty Burell) walks stumbles on - and he's made all decisions in his life based on what Phil would do.'

HAIR: Then and Now will play on Thirteen Friday, August 19th at 1:00 AM. A celebration of Hair, the 'tribal love-rock musical' now a Tony Award-winning revival back on Broadway for the summer. Our guests include the show's composer Galt MacDermot and co-lyricist/librettist James Rado, who wrote the show's enduring rock score (with the late Gerome Ragni). Also on the program, actor Gavin Creel, who was nominated for a Tony for his portrayal of Claude, the role originally created in the Sixties by Rado. Creel, Rado and MacDermot perform the first act finale song 'Where Do I Go?' with MacDermot's son, Vince, on the bongos.

BOOK OF MORMON Breaks O'Neill Theatre House Record Again

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has broken the house record of the Eugene O'Neill Theatre for the 15th time. The show earned $1,289,947.50 in the 1,068-seat O'Neill for the week ending Sunday, August 14, 2011.

The new Disney animated feature WINNIE THE POOH was just released in theaters nationwide last week, and composer for the film and BOOK OF MORMON creator Robert Lopez recently chatted with Time Magazine about both projects. When asked about the difficulty of switching from writing for MORMON to POOH, Lopez responded: 'Pretty easy. I'm the type of guy who likes to kind of pad about and look for things to eat. I actually play the part of Pooh's tummy. I'm the uvular trill that's his tummy growl.'
