Broadway's FALSETTOS to Kick Off Online Ticket Lottery This Week

Lincoln Center Theater in association with Jujamcyn Theaters has announced an online ticket lottery for its new Broadway production of the William Finn-James Lapine Tony Award-winning musical FALSETTOS, beginning with the musical's first preview this Thursday, September 29 at 8pm at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48 Street).

The evening belonged to Hillary and Streisand. Streisand's set started out with 'Everything' from her 1970 film A STAR IS BORN, 'Being at War With Each other' by Carole King, 'Losing My Mind' by Stephen Sondheim from her new ENCORE album and 'Pure Imagination' addressing the environment (also from ENCORE). Then the place went wild when she performed Stephen Sondheim's 'Send in the Clowns' with re-written lyrics skewering Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump. The audience went wild and Barbra received 9 standing ovations!

The Walter Kerr box office (219 West 48 Street) opens today, Tuesday, September 6 for the new Broadway production of William Finn and James Lapine's Tony Award-winning musical FALSETTOS, featuring Stephanie J. Block, Christian Borle, Andrew Rannells, Anthony Rosenthal, Tracie Thoms, Brandon Uranowitz, and Betsy Wolfe. The production, directed by James Lapine, begins previews Thursday, September 29 and opens Thursday, October 27.

Happy Birthday, Andrew Rannells! Rannells played Bob Gaudio in the First National Tour of Jersey Boys. In January 2009, he reprised the role of Gaudio in the musical's Broadway production. Rannells originated the role of Elder Price in The Book of Mormon, a musical written by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and Avenue Q composer Robert Lopez. For his performance, he was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Leading Actor in a Musical. His last performance was June 10, 2012. He will soon play Bryan Buckley in Ryan Murphy's new television series The New Normal on NBC.
