Just yesterday, the 2017 Tony nominees and friends gathered for a special evening to celebrate the Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre and 2017 Special Award Recipients. BroadwayWorld was on the red carpet for the big night and you can check out photos below!

BroadwayWorld has teamed up with Broadway alum Ilana Levine, who makes her entrance onto the podcast stage with her new show Little Known Facts. Ilana's unique brand of celebrity interview, 'Podcast Verite,' is unfiltered, raw, honest and uniquely funny.

Two-time Tony nominee Brandon Uranowitz's life in the theatre had humble origins... in the basement of his childhood home. The Falsettos star is one of four actors in his cast (along with Christian Borle, Andrew Rannells and Stephanie J. Block) to earn a nod this season and he couldn't be happier for the recognition. Yesterday, May 19, Broadway's brightest gathered at the Marriott Marquis Times Square to celebrate this year's Drama League Awards nominees for Outstanding Play, Outstanding Revival of a Play, Outstanding Musical, Outstanding Revival of a Musical, and the much-coveted Distinguished Performance Award. Just yesterday, New Dramatists, Tony® Honor recipient and the nation's premier playwright development laboratory, honored 10-time Tony Award®-winning producer Daryl Roth and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paula Vogel with their 2017 Outstanding Career Achievement Awards at its 68th Annual Spring Luncheon tribute.

On Monday, May 22 (2:30PM) SAG-AFTRA Foundation and BroadwayWorld will host Career Conversations with Andrew Rannells, Tony nominee for his performance in Falsettos. Moderated by BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge, the event will take place at the Robin Williams Center (247 W 54th St).

On May 20, 2017, the National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) will present "Little Boy Lost: One Child's Story of Life Behind Bars," a collaborative work that amplifies the voices of incarcerated youth through the story of 20-year-old Miami native Damien Duncan. The performance is part of YoungArts' celebrated Outside the Box series, which engages the community with free, multidisciplinary performances that take place outside of the iconic Jewel Box on the YoungArts Plaza.
