Pittsburgh CLO Presents A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Pittsburgh CLO is proud to announce casting for the 27th annual production of A MUSICAL CHRISTMAS CAROL, December 7-23 at the Byham Theater. This year's production will feature lavish costumes and thrilling effects made possible by the support received from the Next Generation Capital Campaign. TV veteran and Broadway star Richard Thomas makes his Pittsburgh CLO debut leading the cast as Ebenezer Scrooge. The Laundromat On Maryland Avenue Presents The World Premiere Of THE ACCIDENT BEAR

This world premiere production invites audiences to experience the world of coin-operated laundromats by seeing a play in a coin-operated laundromat in historic, downtown Annapolis. Maryland playwright Bob Bartlett's time-bending play, THE ACCIDENT BEAR, comically traces the first and last moments of a love affair between the accident-prone Bear, who owns a coin-operated laundromat where he also lives, and Chance, an unemployed paramedic living in her 1978 Volkswagen Beetle, who stumbles into his lonely world.

A Christmas Carol, Alliance Theatre's annual holiday production, returns for its 29th season, December 12 - 24, 2018 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.  The most heartwarming story of the season comes to life with holiday carols, stunning stage magic, and your favorite Atlanta actors.  Directed by Rosemary Newcott, the Sally G. Tomlinson Artistic Director of Theatre for Youth and Families, A Christmas Carol has become a tradition for many families around the southeast.

Set in the 1890s, free-spirited Winnie Foster searches for adventure, finding the Tucks, a close-knit family that has discovered the secret to everlasting life. Winnie faces the choice of a lifetime: return to everyday life, or join the Tucks on their infinite, irreversible voyage through time. Michael Stuhlbarg, Austin Smith, Among Initial Cast of SOCRATES at The Public

The Public Theater announced initial casting today for the world premiere of SOCRATES, written by acclaimed actor, director, and writer Tim Blake Nelson. Directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes, the powerful new play will begin with a Free First Preview performance on Tuesday, April 2 and run through Sunday, May 19 with an official press opening on Tuesday, April 16.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the full cast and creative team for Paradise Square: An American Musical. The world premiere is helmed by acclaimed director Moises Kaufman, with choreography by the legendary Bill T. Jones and a book by Marcus Gardley, Craig Lucas, and Larry Kirwan. Music by Jason Howland and Larry Kirwan, with lyrics by Nathan Tysen, and based on the songs of Stephen Foster. Paradise Square is produced by special arrangement with Garth H. Drabinsky in association with Peter LeDonne and Teatro Proscenium Limited Partnership.

Lookingglass Theatre Company announces casting for the world premiere of The Steadfast Tin Soldier: A Christmas Pantomime, from the story by Hans Christian Andersen, conceived and directed by Ensemble Member Mary Zimmerman. Inertia Theatre Project To Produce Showcase THE MAN THAT CORRUPTED CHRISTMAS by Mark Twain

The Inertia Theatre Project will produce "The Man That Corrupted Christmas by Mark Twain" as an exclusive two-night-only acting/directing showcase at Strawdog Theatre Company the evenings of December 11 and 12, 2018, at 8pm. Adapted and directed by Corey Bradberry, the play's ensemble of ten features Annie Burnett, Kayla DeFrenza, Julia Germeroth, Nick Grischow, Eliott Johnson, Kirsten Linder, Cat McGee, Patrick O'Keefe, P. Cullen Ryan, and Talia Santia.

14th Annual Suzi Awards Gala Announced At The Conant Performing Arts Center

Edgerton Foundation New Play Awards Announce New Rounds Of 2018 Recipients

Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, is pleased to announce the recipients of the second and third rounds of the 2018 Edgerton Foundation New Play Awards. The awards, totaling $1,114,000 allow 27 productions extra time for the development and rehearsal of new plays with the entire creative team, hoping to extend the life of the world premiere play after its first run.
