The League of Professional Theatre Women (Shellen Lubin and Catherine Porter, Co-Presidents), an organization which has been championing women in the professional theatre for over three decades, will present an Oral History Project event with the legendary, five-time Tony Award-winning actress, Angela Lansbury on Thursday, November 14 starting at 6pm (doors at 5:30pm) in the Bruno Walter Auditorium at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts (111 Amsterdam Avenue at 65th Street). Admission to the FREE event is currently sold out.

The Acting Company presents a one-night-only benefit reading of Driving Miss Daisy, the beloved play by Alfred Uhry, at The Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College (68th Street between Park and Lexington Avenues), on Monday, November 11 at 7:00 PM. The performance reunites Academy Award winner Morgan Freeman and five-time Tony Award nominee Dana Ivey, who created the iconic roles of Hoke Colburn and Daisy Werthan in the original 1987 production Off-Broadway at Playwrights Horizons.

59E59 Theaters presents the world premiere of A WOMAN OF THE WORLD written by Rebecca Gilman and directed by Valentina Fratti. Gloucester Stage Company continues its 40th Anniversary Season of professional theater with the regional premiere of The Lifespan of a Fact from August 30 through September 22 at Gloucester Stage Company, 267 East Main Street, Gloucester, MA. J's Cultural Arts Theatre/JCAT Pro is proud to present Alfred Uhry's DRIVING MISS DAISY, the opening production of JCAT's 13th season in the Alan & Diane Lieberman Theater of the Feldenkreis/Hanono Cultural Center at the Michael-Ann Russell JCC/Sanford L. Ziff Campus in North Miami Beach, Florida. Running from September 4-22, 2019, DRIVING MISS DAISY is directed by JCAT's Artistic Director, Michael Andron. The Dramatists Guild of America presented their annual awards on Monday, July 29, 2019, at The American Airlines Theatre Penthouse Lobby in New York. Hosting the annual event was DG Council member and co-chair of their Awards Committee, Branden Jacobs-Jenkins.
