The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF) announces the recipient of the 2024 Mike Ockrent Fellowship.

Six-time Tony and Emmy nominee Tovah Feldshuh will return to Boca Raton's Mizner Park Cultural Center on Saturday October 16th and Sunday October 17th for three performances of her acclaimed one woman show Tovah is LEONA! The show, in which Feldshuh assumes the persona of real estate mogul and hotelier Leona Helmsley, played to sold-out houses in January 2019.

The show, in which Feldshuh assumes the persona of real estate mogul and hotelier Leona Helmsley, played to sold-out houses in early January.

The show, in which Feldshuh assumes the persona of real estate mogul and hotelier Leona Helmsley, played to sold-out houses in early January.

Due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict, Tovah Feldshuh-the acclaimed star of television, stage, and film-has postponed her engagement of Tovah is LEONA! Originally scheduled to take place on June 7 & 8, 2019, the engagement will now take place on Friday, September 20 (8 p.m.) and Saturday, September 21 (8 p.m.). Ticket holders for the June engagement will automatically have their tickets transferred to the new performance dates and will receive an email confirmation with their new dates and information on how to request a refund for those unable to attend the new performance dates. THE ACTORS' TEMPLE is pleased to present a reading of the new musical from Alex Lippard, David Lee, and Ron Passaro QUEEN OF MEAN: THE RISE AND FALL OF LEONA HELMSLEY, based on the NY Times-bestselling biography by Ransdell Pierson. Starring Tony-Nominee Tovah Feldshuh as Leona Helmsley, the first performance on Monday, April 4 at 7:30 pm is already sold-out, so an additional performance on Thursday, April 7, at 7:30 pm has been added. Director Cassey Kivnick has been chosen as the 2015-2016 Mike Ockrent Fellow on Jerry Mitchell's Gotta Dance. Ms. Kivnick's fellowship will last the entire length of the production process, with pre-production and rehearsals on Gotta Dance beginning in November 2015 and continuing on until the spring 2016 premiere on Broadway.  Ms. Kivnick will receive a $5000 award.
