OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network revealed today the premiere date and official trailer for its new original anthology drama “Cherish the Day,” created and executive produced by Emmy winner/Academy Award nominee Ava DuVernay (“Queen Sugar,” “When They See Us”). “Cherish the Day” is set for a two-night premiere on Tuesday, February 11 at 10 p.m. ET/PT and Wednesday, February 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Tuesday night's premiere will be presented with limited commercials by Toyota Highlander. The eight-episode chapter will continue to air on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network announced today that award-winning filmmaker Ava DuVernay has cast the first season stars of her new anthology series “Cherish the Day,” which marks her second series on the network since creating the acclaimed show “Queen Sugar.” Each season of “Cherish the Day” will chronicle the stirring romance of one couple, with each episode spanning a single day.  The season-long narrative will unfold to reveal significant moments in a relationship that compel us to hold true to the ones we love, from the extraordinary to the everyday. The series is created and executive produced by Ava DuVernay through Array Filmworks from Warner Horizon Scripted Television.

Sundance Institute's Theatre Lab kicks off on May 6th, and today announced this year's participating acting company and creative advisors. The Lab, which runs through May 27 at the Fellah Hotel outside Marrakech, Morocco, is supervised by Artistic Director Philip Himberg and Producing Director Christopher Hibma, and is the centerpiece of the Institute's year-round work with the theatre community, alternating locations between Sundance Resort in Utah and a venue in the Middle East/North African region, as part of a multi-year commitment to international work and a means of facilitating cultural exchange between artists writing in English and Arabic.

OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network announced today the second season premiere of its hit docu-series “Black Love” on Saturday, May 12 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The series which highlights love stories from the Black community debuted last fall with 1.2 million total viewers, becoming OWN's most-watched unscripted series debut in network history and its highest-rated unscripted series debut in more than four years in the network's key W25-54 demo.

The live special will also include musical performances by Kelly Clarkson, Jordan Fisher and Hunter Hayes. Dance star and social media influencer Dytto, and actor Jorge Diaz will host a pre-show that will stream live on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube starting at 3:30 PM PT/6:30 PM ET.

WGN America has canceled its pre-Civil War historical drama UNDERGROUND after two seasons. The series follows the lives of runaway slaves and abolitionists who fight for freedom and create what became known as the UNDERGROUND Railroad.

The world premiere of Ngozi Anyanwu's new play 'Good Grief' opened at Center Theatre Group's Kirk Douglas Theatre on Sunday, March 5 at 6:30 p.m. Directed by Patricia McGregor, Anyanwu also performs in 'Good Grief,' which runs through March 26, 2017.
