The National Comedy Center, the nation's first museum and visitor experience dedicated to the comedic arts, announced today that Sebastian Maniscalco and John Mulaney will headline the 2019 Lucille Ball Comedy Festival, August 7th -11th. The Triad (158 West 72nd Street) is hosting several special live events this month: the first is Speakeasy, an intimate conversation this Sunday, 8/12 at 6pm with multiple Grammy-winning music star Lenny Kravitz and Sean Ono Lennon. Taylor Ré Lynn, American actress and producer of the Golden Globe nominated film The Fencer, attended the Tribeca Film Festival World Premiere of the new Gilda Radner documentary Love Gilda. Lynn is an associate producer of the ground-breaking documentary that premiered on April 18, 2018 at the Beacon Theatre.

The National Comedy Center will celebrate its grand opening with appearances by Amy Schumer, Lily Tomlin, Saturday Night Live original cast alumni including Dan Aykroyd and more, coinciding with the annual Lucille Ball Comedy Festival, August 1st -5th in Jamestown, New York.

The National Comedy Center is proud to announce the acquisition of the archive of ground-breaking comedian Shelley Berman, who passed away in September 2017 at the age of 92. The donation was formally announced during a tribute attended by Larry David, Dr. Demento, Cheryl Hines, Laraine Newman, Howard Storm, David Steinberg, Fred Willard, and Alan Zweibel, hosted by Lewis Black and presented by the National Comedy Center on Tuesday, January 30th at the Comedy & Magic Club in Hermosa Beach, California.
