Our readers set the nominees, and now voting is open for the 2021 BroadwayWorld Boise Awards! The 2021 Regional Awards honor productions which had their first performance between October 1, 2020 through September 30, 2021.

PROJECT GREENLIGHT is a docuseries focusing on the next generation of talented female filmmakers who are given the chance to direct a feature film. Issa Rae will appear in every episode as an Executive Producer, providing guidance and mentorship to these aspiring filmmakers. The finished film will then premiere on HBO Max.

The Educational Theatre Foundation (ETF) has announced the appointment of Krista Carson Elhai, Peter Hagan, Elwood Hopkins and Allison Rawlings to a term on the National Board from 2020 to 2023. Sundance Institute announced Giving Voice as the winner of the Festival Favorite Award, selected by audience votes from the 128 features screened at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival, which took place in Park City, Salt Lake City, and Sundance, Utah, from January 23–February 2, 2020.

BMI® (Broadcast Music, Inc.®) is proud to announce its programming for the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. Highlights include the 22nd edition of the Composer/Director Roundtable “Music & Film: The Creative Process” on Sunday, Jan. 26 at the Kimball Arts Center, followed by the 18th annual BMI Snowball on Tuesday, Jan. 28 at The Shop. Theatrix, the student-run theatre company within the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, continues its 2019-2020 season with Five Women Wearing the Same Dress, written by Alan Ball and directed by University of Nebraska student, Hilda Esther Rey.
