Jump For Joy Productions Brings THE DRUNKEN CITY to Workshop Theatre, 11/30-12/16

Jump For Joy Productions presents Adam Bock's comedy The Drunken City, directed by Misti B. Wills (In Search of Euphoria, New World Stages). The Drunken City will play a limited engagement at The WorkShop Theatre's Mainstage (312 West 36th Street, between 8th and 9th Ave.). Performances begin Friday November 30th (8 p.m.) and continue through Sunday December 16th (2 p.m.).

MTC's MURDER BALLAD Announces Two-Week Extension at The Studio at Stage II Through December 16

Manhattan Theatre Club has announced that Murder Ballad, the new musical by Julia Jordan and Juliana Nash, directed by Trip Cullman, that opened to glowing reviews last night is extending by two weeks through Sunday, December 16 at MTC's The Studio at Stage II - Harold and Mimi Steinberg New Play Series at New York City Center - Stage II (131 West 55th Street).

Steppenwolf Announces Line-up for NEXT UP 2013

Steppenwolf Theatre Company has announced the line-up for Next Up 2013, the third annual collaboration with Northwestern University's MFA programs in Direction and Design featuring the work of graduates of those programs with casts of professional Chicago actors. Next Up continues Steppenwolf's commitment to Chicago's next generation of theater artists and includes three productions presented in rotating repertory, May 28 - June 16, 2013 in The Steppenwolf Garage (1624 N Halsted St). The directors and designers make their Steppenwolf debut under the mentorship of Steppenwolf staff and artists, including ensemble member Anna D. Shapiro, associate artist Jessica Thebus and scenic designer Todd Rosenthal-all members of the Northwestern faculty-as well as Steppenwolf Associate Artistic Director Erica Daniels. Tickets to Next Up go on sale March 29, 2013.
