LA Premiere of NAKED IN ALASKA Opens in Bootleg Theater's Solo Queens Fest

After three sold-out, award-winning runs in international Fringe Festivals (New York City, Edinburgh, and Chicago), a critically-acclaimed Off-Broadway run, and a featured performance at the The Last Frontier Theatre Conference in Valdez, Alaska, Valerie Hager's autobiographical solo play about her years stripping in the Alaskan frontier will open at Bootleg Theater today, October 28 at 7:30 p.m.

Review: UNDERNEATH THE LINTEL Examines a Biblical Myth via Evidence Collected About Long-Overdue Library Book

The plot unfolds during a public presentation during which The Librarian recounts an impressive amount of Lovely Evidences he accumulated during his worldwide search for answers about the person who returned a long-overdue book, truly a most whirlwind journey that occupied his every waking minute. His obsessive search causes the loss of his long-held and beloved employment as he researches for what he considers to be one of the great mysteries of humanity. Director Steven Robman perfectly paces the show to keep you on the edge of your seat as you ponder just what the gathered evidence seems to prove.

Arye Gross-Led UNDERNEATH THE LINTEL Opens Tonight at the Geffen

The Geffen Playhouse welcomes Arye Gross (Minority Report, Castle, Geffen's Coney Island Christmas) in Glen Berger's award-winning one-man play Underneath the Lintel: An Impressive Presentation of Lovely Evidences, directed by Steven Robman. Underneath the Lintel began October 10 in the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater at the Geffen Playhouse, with opening night tonight, October 18. The production closes Sunday, November 19. Set in the 1930s, during the heyday of traveling carnival sideshows, Pinter uses the carney swindling Captain Greedy's Carnival as a direct analogy to the ensnaring market crash of 2008, as well as, the present day political arena.

Independent Shakespeare Co. (ISC), presenters of the Griffith Park Free Shakespeare Festival announce performances of interdisciplinary artist Kalean Ung's original solo work, LETTERS FROM HOME, directed by Marina McClure. LETTERS FROM HOME will play for four performances only: Friday, November 10 & 17, Saturday, November 11 & 18 at 7:30pm at Independent Studio in the Atwater Crossing Arts + Innovation Complex, 3191 Casitas Ave., #130 in Atwater Village.
