Since 2015, Adelphi University has given musical theater creators the opportunity to showcase their work with new audiences through the Larson Legacy Concert Series. On Sunday, September 22, Jonathan Larson Grant recipient Andy Roninson, along with a talented cast of musicians and vocalists, will perform songs from his internationally acclaimed podcast TAKE A TEN, as well as never-before-heard material from new musicals in the works.

The Obsidian Theatre has announced the Houston premiere of The Q Brother's OTHELLO: The Remix, originally presented on Broadway by John Leguizamo. Brothers and collaborators JQ and GQ have a body of work that span 20 years adapting Shakespeare's work (Funk It Up About Nothin', I Heart Juliet , and The Bomb-itty of Errors.) a?oeSince living and working in New York City, I've been a long time fan of the Q-Brothers and all of their material. The Utah Symphony, along with guest conductor Christian Reif and cellist Rainer Eudeikis, will delight their audiences with Schumann's Cello Concerto in the second chamber concert of the Deer Valley Music Festival. Pieces by other artists such as Beethoven and Honegger will be performed as well. The concert will take place on Wednesday, July 17 at 8 PM at St. Mary's Church in Park City.

This week The BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop presented its top works in this year's showcase. The event was held at The Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater in New York City and premiered performances of the best of songs written and composed by recent members of this Drama League, Drama Desk and Tony honored workshop.
