Brooklyn Art Song Society (BASS) continues its 2023–24 season on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 7:30PM at First Unitarian Church of Brooklyn with Circles II: The Wagnerians, the second of a six-part series exploring connections between composers throughout music history. Led by Artistic Director Michael Brofman, Brooklyn Art Song Society opens its 14th season on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 7:30PM with Circles I: Clara, Robert, and Johannes.

A&E has greenlit the four-hour documentary series, “The Chicano Squad” (working title), chronicling a groundbreaking team of bilingual patrol officers plucked from their beats and suddenly promoted to Detectives to form the first all-Latin homicide unit dedicated to tackling Houston’s soaring rate of Latin homicide cases in 1979.

Brooklyn Art Song Society (BASS) announced its 2023-24 season, which features Circles, a six-part series following friendships between composers throughout history, as well as the return of the Dichter Project and New Voices Festival. Led by Artistic Director Michael Brofman, the organization, which plays a vital role in keeping the tradition of art song alive, presents ten full-length concerts highlighting 37 composers and 56 performers.

On August 24, Opera Philadelphia teams up with the East Passyunk Opera Project (ePOP) for Center City District's “Arts on Center Stage” in Dilworth Park. Opera singers will give a live concert in the heart of Center City, just outside City Hall.

  On Site Opera, New York’s pioneering opera company rooted in site-specific storytelling and the immersive experience, returns to the West Side Community Garden for Opera in the Garden—two evenings of free outdoor performances on Wednesday, June 21 and Wednesday, June 28. 

TAK Ensemble will present SWOONFEST, a two-day, multi-artist festival, on May 5 and 6, 2023 at The Clemente Center in New York's Lower East Side.

On Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 8:00pm, Bowerbird presents the TAK Ensemble at The Rotunda.

On Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 10:30pm, the New York Philharmonic presents the TAK Ensemble, in a Nightcap concert at the brand-new Kenneth C. Griffin Sidewalk Studio at David Geffen Hall. Currently celebrating its 10th anniversary as “one of the most prominent ensembles in the United States practicing truly experimental music” (I Care If You Listen), the contemporary classical quintet TAK performs a world premiere by composer and multi-instrumentalist Tyshawn Sorey, co-commissioned by the New York Philharmonic. 

In episode 5 which debuts Monday, October 17 Dr.  Jackie helps her receptionist Sherry Vine deal with a recent breakup and Drag Race winner Bianca Del Rio break out of her shell. Marking a decade of cultivating creative programming at the highest level, TAK's season features the world premiere of a New York Philharmonic co-commission by Tyshawn Sorey for the Kravis Nightcap series; premiere live performances of Ashkan Behzadi's Love, Crystal, and Stone and Taylor Brook's Star Maker Fragments from recent TAK albums; and commissions from Michelle Lou and DM R with Joy Guidry to be premiered at TAK's 10th anniversary celebration in May 2023.
