William John Banks BIO
Dancer, actor, choreographer, and art model. William graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and was awarded the Dame Peggy van Praagh Award. He has worked as a soloist and company member for the West Australian Ballet, Ballet Graz and Tanzcompagnies Gießen & St. Gallen. Some of William’s
performance credits include Warner Bros. Pictures, Sony Music, London Fashion Week, M·A·C, V&A, Sadler’s Wells, Salzburg Festival, Bollywood and Opéra de Monte-Carlo. Choreographically William’s work ranges from contemporary creations (Heath Ledger Theatre, Stadttheater Gießen, Arts Government QLD) through to music videos (Northlane, Smoke Fairies). Additionally, he has assisted at Modern Dance Turkey & Milwaukee Ballet’s summer intensive.

Review: CANDIDE at Museumsquartier Halle E
Leonard Bernstein's masterpiece, Candide, is back in Vienna for a strictly limited run. Based on Voltaire's 18th-century novel, Bernstein created a so-called comic operetta, or as some might say, a musical in an old-fashioned way. You may call it whatever you want. At the end of the evening, it is a beautifully crafted piece of art.
