4th Wall Theatre Company, Houston's home for extraordinary performances up close, is proud to open their 2019-2020 Season with Tennessee Williams's brilliant and timeless classic, “The Glass Menagerie.” Winner of the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1948, the 2014 Broadway revival received seven Tony nominations, again confirming the enduring poignancy and timeless power of this classic tale of family ties that cross time and memory.

The year is 1872, the setting is London, and the bet was made at exactly 8:55pm for 20,000 pounds. Or, at least that's how our practical, punctual main character Phileas Fogg would describe the scene. Fogg, a logical and calculated gentleman is willing to bet his entire fortune on the latest claim that with the developments of railways and steam engines, one is able to go around the world in 80 days (I bet you can guess the title of this little play now, huh?). Fogg is so convinced, that he intends to complete the trip himself, with his newly hired servant Passepartout (Braden Hunt), and a few others that get strung into the chaotic voyage along the way.

Adding to an already exciting season, Mildred's Umbrella (MU) will share a new fantasy from local playwright and University of Houston student Elizabeth A.M. Keel.

It's a scary cautionary tale illuminating where we are today in regards to sex workers and the dangers they face being in the crosshairs of those with little regard for them.

Mildred's Umbrella Theatre Company continues its 2016-2017 season with the regional premiere of THE JOHNS by Mary Bonnett, producing artistic director for Chicago's Her Story Theater.

The Landing Theatre Company, Houston's professional company dedicated to advancing American Playwriting continues their season with Elizabeth A. M. Keel's Gambrels of the Sky.

DOLLFACE, playwright Katharine Sherman's contemporary riff on the Medusa myth, marries imagination with detail beautifully in its world premiere run at Mildred's Umbrella Theater Company.

The Vagabond Theatre Project is a University of Houston student run production company that focuses on bringing Houston audiences pieces of theatre that they feel passionate about. Though Vagabond Theatre Project, these intrepid students are expanding their educations and exploring the business aspects of the industry. With no permanent home, they move from space to space, building their resumes with laudable directorial, acting, stage managing, house managing, and producing credits.
