The Landing Theatre Company to Present New Play GAMBRELS OF THE SKY
Named one of Houston Press' 100 Creatives in 2012, Keel's plays have wowed Houston audiences with sell out runs and we are very excited to bring this new play to the Landing Theatre.
GAMBRELS OF THE SKY is an urban biblical fairy tale. Eve (that Eve) has abandoned Adam and her post-Eden world, and moved to a city where magic has won. Here, dragons nest on the roofs of the skyscrapers. Fairies crawl into the streetlights to keep warm. It is a fantastic place to hide, and a dangerous one. Eve and her loyal girl gang embrace all the dark experiences their city has to offer. But when she attempts to conjure a new man for herself, her mythology and the magic clash, endangering them all.
Directed by Leighza Walker (Houston Press' 100 Creatives, 2012), the cast features: Cheramie Hopper, Shelby Blocker, Cindy Lou Parker, Callina Situka, and Jason Duga.
The creative team also includes: Scenic Design by: Clinton Hopper ; Costume Design by: Clair Hummel; Lighting Design by: Thomas Murphy; and Sound Design by: Travis Ammons.

Performance Dates: August 4-6, 8pm (Previews) and Sunday, August 7, 3pm (Opening), playing Thursdays-Saturdays, 8pm & Saturday Matinees, 3pm (thru August 20th). INDUSTRY NIGHT: August 15 @ 8pm. TALKBACK THURSDAYS: August 4, 11, and 18- a feature of all LTC shows. A chance to meet the artists, discuss the production and interact with us.
