Encores! Off-Center Co-Artistic Directors Anne Kauffman and Jeanine Tesori today announced final casting for Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope, the third production of the Encores! Off-Center season at New York City Center. Don't Bother Me, I Can't Cope will star Rheaume Crenshaw, Dayna Dantzler, Aisha de Haas, James T. Lane, and Wayne Pretlow.

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts held Some Enchanted Evening, the 27th Annual Summer Gala in Sag Harbor on the Long Wharf on July 7, 2018, with Jane Lynch as emcee.  The event benefits Bay Street's educational and theatrical programs. The evening included special performances as well as a silent auction, cocktail party, live auction with celebrity auctioneer Richard Kind, dinner and dancing. And due to future restoration of the Long Wharf, this was the final gala to be held there.

Bay Street Theater and Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce a successful opening night for FROST/NIXON, a play by Peter Morgan, directed by Sarna Lapine. The show was met with a standing ovation. Notable in attendance were Mercedes Ruehl, Judy Carmichael and Jules Feiffer.  FROST/NIXON runs through July 22. The Conspirators are proud to present the World Premiere of The Deckchairs (or, Make the Titanic Great Again), written by Sid Feldman and directed by Wm. Bullion, to be performed at the Greenhouse Theater Center, 2257 N. Lincoln Ave. in Chicago. There will be a preview on Thursday, June 7th, and the opening is Today June 8th. The show will run Thursdays-Saturdays at 8PM from June 8th - June 30th, with a special Flag Day performance on June 14th.

The popular summer musical theater series at New York City Center will welcome directors Kate Whoriskey, Ken Rus Schmoll, and Savion Glover, all of whom are making their City Center directorial debuts.

Strawdog Extends Final Show at Hugen Hall


Strawdog Theatre Company, Artistic Director Hank Boland and Hugen Hall Artistic Director Anderson Lawfer are proud to announce the third production in their 2015 - 2016 Hugen Hall season, Elizabeth Lovelady's world premiere adaptation of Rudolph Mate'sfilm D.O.A., March 5 - April 5, directed by Elizabeth Lovelady at Hugen Hall in Strawdog Theatre Company, 3829 N. Broadway Street has extended through April 10. The performance schedule is Saturdays at 4 p.m., Sundays at 12 p.m., and Monday and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. Additional performances are Saturday, April 9 at 4 and 8 p.m. and Sunday, April 10 at 12 and 4 p.m. Single tickets are $15 and are currently on sale. Want to be in an Encores! production? This is your chance! New York City Center will hold an open audition for teen actors (ages 13-18) on Saturday, March 19, at Talent Unlimited High School (317 East 67th Street) for the Encores! Off-Center production of Runaways-Elizabeth Swados' landmark 1978 musical about the stories, fears, and fantasies of young people living on the streets.

Megan Hilty will star in New York City Center's annual Gala Annie Get Your Gun: In Concert, a one-night-only performance of the classic Irving Berlin musical, on October 27, 2015. Directed by Tony Award winner John Rando, the Gala will feature The Encores! Orchestra led by Encores! Music Director Rob Berman. Additional casting will be announced at a later date. The event will help fund New York City Center's artistic and education programs.
