The Conspirators Present THE DECKCHAIRS (OR, MAKE THE TITANIC GREAT AGAIN) ImageThe Conspirators are proud to present the World Premiere of The Deckchairs (or, Make the Titanic Great Again), written by Sid Feldman and directed by Wm. Bullion, to be performed at the Greenhouse Theater Center, 2257 N. Lincoln Ave. in Chicago. There will be a preview on Thursday, June 7th, and the opening is Friday June 8th. The show will run Thursdays-Saturdays at 8PM from June 8th - June 30th, with a special Flag Day performance on June 14th.

About the Play

All looks grim in the First Class Salon of the RMS Titanic until Barnum-like huckster D.J. Drumpf crashes the party and vows to "make the Titanic great again!" Iceberg hits, hilarity and death ensue! Neo-commedia punk-theater perpetrators The Conspirators are at it again with the follow-up to their sold out #TrumpShow, The Resistible Rise of Herr Helmut Drumpf.

The cast features Amber Autry, Madison Boan, Kate Booth, Wm. Bullion, Paul Bunton, Libby Conkle, Nathaniel Fishburn, David Gordezky, Ali Janes, Michael Lomenick, and Aja Singletary, as well as Gail Gallagher on piano and Sarah Scanlon/Sean McGill on percussion.

The design and production team includes Wm. Bullion (director), Shellie DiSalvo (stage manager), Gail Gallagher (music director), Sebby Woldt (sound design), Stephanie Johnsen (costume design), Sid Feldman (producer), Kate Booth, Nathaniel Fishburn, and Libby Conkle (associate producers).

Fundraiser Event

On Sunday, April 15 (Tax Day!), join the company from 6PM-9PM for a fundraising event at Renee Feldman Salon, 1006 N. Clark St, to raise money for the Deckchairs budget. Tickets are $50 at the door or $40 in advance, available at http://conspirewithus.org. All are invited to conspire with us over a silent auction, food, and beverages while DJ Brian Jones keeps the party going. More details will be forthcoming, so save the date to Make the Fundraiser Great Again!

About the Playwright

Sid Feldman has written plays, adaptations, screenplays, reviews and essays. He has produced plays, concerts and events for numerous organizations including New Crime and Sliced Bread Productions (also with Wm. Bullion!). Sid lives in Evanston with his wife and twin daughters Aviva and Beatrix.

About the Director

Wm. Bullion is a veteran tragicomedian, director and actor on the fringe of the Chicago theater fringe and beyond. Billy is a grateful ensemble member of his beloved Factory Theater, for whom he most recently directed Born Ready. He started Sliced Bread Productions in 1988 and put up some solid work before it folded in 2008. He loved doing the last Conspirators piece, The Resistible Rise of Herr Helmut Drumpf but is a fool to think starting another theater group in Chicago is a viable, sustainable idea. Yet, here we are!

About the company

The Conspirators are a (new) theater & performance collective in Chicago dedicated to provoking thought and action through dynamic, immediate theater art.
