Mercury Theater Chicago, 3745 N. Southport Avenue - is delighted to announce the cast of the high-flying, family-musical MARY POPPINS. The magical nanny Mary Poppins will be played by newcomer Nicole Armold, and the loveable jack-of-all trades Bert will be played by Jeff Award winner Matthew Crowle. The production will be led by Jeff Award Winners L. Walter Stearns (Director), Eugene Dizon (Music Director) and Brenda Didier (Choreography). The show plays from March 29 through May 28, and the press opening is Friday, April 7th at 7:30pm

Director Courtney Crouse has announced his cast for the Chicago premiere of Honky Tonk Angels - a book musical by Always… Patsy Cline writer Ted Swindley incorporating some of country music's greatest hits into a story of three women who form a country music singing trio. The three-woman cast will be a power trio of Chicago musical theatre performers all coming off high profile roles in past months.

Lake Forest Theatre in its inaugural season presents, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, opening October 8 and running through October 30. Managing Artistic Director Steve Malone will direct the production, along with co-director and choreographer Cameron Turner, at the newly renovated John & Nancy Hughes Theater, 400 East Illinois Rd. in downtown Lake Forest.

This sumptuous two-act musical revue runs August 26 through September 18 at The Athenaeum Theatre. "This was one of the last Noel Coward shows staged during his lifetime," states DWTC Artistic Director Jim Schneider. "Originally devised for Off-Broadway by Roderick Cook, it's a wonderful cabaret approach.  It features two men and a woman covering Coward's favorite songs and scenes from his plays and musicals."
