BIO
R. Scott Purdy earned a BA in Dramatic Arts from Amherst College, worked extensively in show business for several years, then met a girl, left show-biz, earned an MBA, married the girl, became a banker, reared a family, and retired. Since retiring from banking in 2014, he has appeared in thirty stage roles and 10 independent films. Favorite recent roles include: Ray in Yankee Tavern (Steel Beam Theatre); Jean Cocteau in Satie et Cocteau (Genesis Theatrical); Edward Seaton in Holiday (Edge of the Wood); Anthony Anderson in The Devil's Disciple; Mushnik in Little Shop of Horrors; and Harlow Shapley in Creation's Birthday.
Scott is a recent graduate of The Academy at Black Box Acting, Executive Director of Chimera Ensemble, and on the Board of Steel Beam Theatre.
