 In Torch Song, the two-act revival of Harvey Fierstein’s award-winning Torch Song Trilogy, the life of Arnold Beckoff, a torch song-singing, Jewish drag queen living in New York City, is dramatized over the span of the late 1970’s and 1980’s.

Significant Other, playing at the Minnesota Jewish Theatre Company through March 8th, focuses on one man's search for love and how it strains his other relationships, almost to the breaking point.

Minnesota Jewish Theatre Company presents the area premiere of Significant Other by Joshua Harmon February 15-March 8, 2020. This contemporary comedy tells the story of Jordan, a young Jewish gay man. Life is a whirlwind of fun with his cohort of best girl friends at his side, but as singles nights slowly turn into bachelorette parties, Jordan finds himself yearning for his own significant other. Jordan's grandmother, Helene, is also at a personal crossroads, navigating her life journey now nearing closure. Their tender relationship provides each with solace and support, but it's Jordan who must figure out his next steps. 

Minnesota Jewish Theatre Company (MJTC) continues its 24th season with the world premiere of Shul by Sheldon Wolf. To be directed by actor Robert Dorfman in his directorial debut.

A new #TCTheater company is debuting a new play by a first time playwright in a new St. Paul theater space that just opened this summer. What's more exciting than that?! The good news is that ROLLER DERBY QUEEN is a great play - smart, funny, and well-written, with quirky but real characters played by a dreamy cast, clearly directed in this intimate space. I'm not entirely sure what SOS Theater is about yet, but based on the first offering of this 'new production company dedicated to producing evocative works that present fresh and entertaining perspectives of this ludicrous thing called life,' I'm intrigued, and hope to see more.
