BWW Review: Whitney saves THE BODYGUARD at Palais Des Sports

This musical finds its heart when Cylia who plays Nikki Marron starts to sing. Ms. Cylia possesses a luscious voice that wraps itself around the notes and lyrics and delivers them with purity and warmth. She is a joy to look at and hear.

BWW Review: DIRTY DANCING Mambos its Way to Paris

The much beloved 1987 cult hit Dirty Dancing has been transformed into a live stage show and cha-cha'd its way to Paris and now tours the rest of France. The 1st version of this show played in London and became the fastest selling show in West End history. This story takes place in the Catskills and revolves around the teenage Baby (Gaelle Pauly) and hot dance teacher Johnny (Benjamin Akl). It is always a challenge bringing a film to the stage due to the limited space, but it was dutifully done by director David Eguren and choreographer Coretin Mazo.

BWW Review: LA FAMILLE ADDAMS in Paris

Last night, I saw the completely charming production of 'La Famille Addams' at Th tre Le Palace. This musical written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice with words and music by Andrew Lippa is based on popular American cartoon strip 'The Addams Family' which later became a television series with a huge cult following. I fondly recall watching this series when I was a boy. Mr. Charles Addams' characters have also appeared in two Hollywood feature films. I would say it would be hard to find someone who hasn't heard of this kooky family.
