Maya T. Weed

Maya T. Weed is a multidisciplinary theatre artist from St. Augustine, Florida. She specializes in performance, writing, and design for genre bending and immersive work.

As a performer, selected recent projects include Lennox Mutual (Performer, Candle House Collective), Bard Overboard (SoHo Playhouse), Reply All (Clubbed Thumb Winterworks Workshop), Greenhouse (Elif Collective Workshop), Timon of Athens (Elif Collective Workshop), The Immersive Trilogies Volumes IV and VI (WAXWING Productions), Orlando (Columbia University), and For Molly (Columbia University).

Writing and directing includes Dovecote (Writer/Director, WAXWING & The Elif Collective), In the Green Grass (Writer/Director, Immersive Trilogies, WAXWING), I HEAR YOU (Writer, Elif Bet Series, The Elif Collective), and STARCADIA (Assistant Director, See Humans & WAXWING).

Design work includes Greenhouse (Scenic Designer, Elif Collective and Pop Up Productions), Bus Stop (Assistant Scenic Designer, Classic Stage Company), Eat the Document (Assistant Scenic Designer, HERE Arts), The Whitney Album (Assistant Scenic Designer, SoHo Rep), Evelyn Brown (A Diary) (Props Design and Assistant Scenic Designer, LaMaMa), Galilee 34 (Assistant Scenic Designer, South Coast Rep), In Closure (Co-Production Designer, WAXWING Productions), Victor/Victoria (Scenic Designer, Cotuit Center for the Arts), and It's a Miracle (Props and Animation Designer, The Vineyard Theater).

As a theatre administrator, Maya has served on the production and management teams for Sleep No More, Life and Trust, Masquerade, and Evan Bernardin Productions. She is the Art & Media Director for WAXWING Productions, and Root Letter Artist with The Elif Collective.
