Sharpe Dunaway is no stranger to being in the spotlight, whether it be behind a microphone, behind the drums, or behind the video camera. And though he’s enjoyed his success and attention, he beams with pride when he talks about his children, father to Quint, Grey, and London (the youngest one who is taking great strides in the same vein as her father). In a free-wheeling conversation with Broadway World, Sharpe and his daughter London—a budding music journalist, concert photographer, and frontwoman in the making—dig into craft, community, and the power of doing the work.

What did our critic think of ALCOHOL POISON at TCs Midtown Grill? When I found out that my friend Sharpe Dunaway was debuting a Poison tribute band at TCs Midtown Grill, 1611 E Oak St., Ste 19, in Conway, Saturday, May 6, I knew I had to be there. Poison was every girl's favorite 80s hair band, and their images adorned our walls. We screamed 'I love you' in true hormonal rage every time they came on the radio. They said they wanted action tonight, and had it have been possible, we would have given it to them. So, when ALCOHOL POISON took the stage, I closed my eyes, summoned my inner teenage vixen, and partied to the sounds of my youth.

In Tyce's case, with the release of his debut Broadway Records album, HERO (March 10), his voice is perfectly in sync with the celebratory music and lyrics of noted-Meat Loaf-collaborator Jim Steinman.
