Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg will travel to Australia together in September for the first time in 25 years for the Australian premiere of the concert spectacular Do You Hear The People Sing? which celebrates their iconic musicals including Les Misérables and Miss Saigon. Presented at Hamer Hall, Arts Centre Melbourne from 27-28 September, and in the transformed Sydney Opera House Concert Hall from 30 September – 2 October.

The record breaking musical from Alain Boubil and Claude-Michel Schönberg based on Victor Hugos novel is ready to open for the first time in Slovakia. The show has played in 52 countries and more than 424 cities. It has been translated in 22 different languages. The beautiful city of Bratislava will host the first slovakian production at the New Stage Theatre/ Nová Scéna . The show will be directed by Marie Zamora and Gabriela Petráková. The role of JeanValjean will be shared by Titusz Tóbisz and Petr Gazdik. Les Mis is a musical phenomenon. We are looking forward to hear the people sing for the first time in their foreign language. As it is going to be a Non-Replica production, let's see how the directors are going to set up their revolution. Opening Night will be on Sept. 20 and 21st. Bratislava should be on your bucket list for various reasons and now there is one more reason to visit the historical slovakian capitol.

Last night, May 2, 2016, The New York Pops celebrated its 33rd birthday with a grand gala evening celebrating the revolutionary collaborations of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg, the songwriting team behind LES MISERABLES, Miss Saigon, and more. Serving as Honorary Co-Chairs for the event were musical theatre legends Sir Cameron Mackintosh and Patti LuPone. On January 29 & 30, the creators of the international musical sensations LES MISERABLES and MISS SAIGON will present a special concert celebrating their work at the Newport Performing Arts Theatre in Manila to raise funds to offer humanitarian relief and assist the rebuilding efforts after parts of the Philippines were left devastated in the wake of Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan). The concerts, which will star Lea Salonga, David Harris, and Marie Zamora, will celebrate the works of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schonberg, including musical numbers from Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, La Revolution Francaise, Martin Guerre and The Pirate Queen. Supported by the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra and a 100-member choir, conducted by musical director Gerard Salonga, the concert is headlined by some of the world's leading musical theatre performers.
