Based on the promos that have been airing all week, it was evident that Thursday's episode of GREY'S ANATOMY was going to be an emotional one. Although the promos were (characteristically) misleading, the episode did not disappoint. The devastating effects of addiction, as well as the complicated ways in which different people view addiction, took center stage as the doctors fought to save the lives of over 50 patients who had overdosed, including Betty/Britney.

If you're a fan of fun cameos, you'll be a fan of this week's Grey's Anatomy! We get 'Baby' from 'Dirty Dancing' AND we get a Hobbit! More than that though, we also get a really compelling episode that explores complicated family matters, gun violence, and having to operate on someone you hate.

After spending last week's fabulous standalone episode fully invested in Catherine Fox's surgery and Meredith's closure with her dying dad, GREY'S ANATOMY viewers had the chance to dive back into all the other storylines that have been playing out in the hallways of Grey Sloan memorial. This week's episode, entitled “Girlfriend in a Coma” delivered some delightful romance, a heartbreaking love story, and a mind blowing bombshell of a reveal. 

BROKEN MEMORIES, an independent film based on a story by Frankie Lauderdale and directed by Michael Worth, is a poignant portrait of a man and his son navigating the transition to Alzheimer's. Backed by a strong cast, featuring Rance Howard, stunning visuals by Russell Bell, and the music of David Williams, the film will be featured at the February 2017 Sedona International Film Festival.

GREY'S ANATOMY's 13th Season premiered Thursday night and it picked up right where it left off in the May finale. The episode is titled 'Undo' and is Directed by Debbie Allen (a Broadway alum and BWW fav!) and written by William Harper. Is Deluca alright? Did Alex face the consequences of his actions? 'Broken Memories,' an independent romantic-drama, has received the Award of Merit with Special Mention from The IndieFEST Film Awards. Additionally, Rance Howard ('A Beautiful Mind,' 'Nebraska,' 'X-Files') has won the Award of Excellence, Leading Actor, for his portrayal of Jasper, a father suffering from Alzheimer's disease.

Thanks to medical shows like ER and GREY'S ANATOMY, I am terrified that my penchant for French fries as a meal in and of itself, mixed with tying my shoe laces too tight will cause an aneurysm to explode in my brain one day.

Based on last week's previews for tonight's episode, which included Meredith telling Derek to just go to DC already (marriage schmarriage), I was prepared to launch another “Meredith Grey is the Most Selfish Person in the World” tirade. However, the writers bested me with a well-crafted episode that not only allowed me to learn more about the train wreck that is the Grey Family, but forced my heart to open up to an uber-damaged Mer.
