Mackenzie Meehan is a talented actress known for her work on stage, television, and film. Born on August 6, 1983, in Abington, Pennsylvania, Meehan grew up in a family of artists. Her mother was a painter, and her father was a musician. From a young age, Meehan was interested in the arts, and she began performing in community theater productions when she was just a child.
Meehan attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama. After graduation, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career. Meehan made her Broadway debut in the 2015 revival of The Elephant Man, starring Bradley Cooper. In the play, she played the role of Mrs. Kendal, a famous actress who befriends the main character, John Merrick.
In addition to her work on stage, Meehan has appeared in several television shows and films. She has had recurring roles on the television series The Bold Type, The Wolf of Wall Street, and Vinyl. She has also made guest appearances on shows like Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The Good Wife, and The Leftovers.
Meehan's film credits include roles in The Wolf of Wall Street, The Immaculate Conception of Little Dizzle, and The Half of It. She has also appeared in several short films, including The Last Time We Checked, which she also wrote and produced.
Meehan is also an accomplished writer and producer. In addition to The Last Time We Checked, she has written and produced several other short films, including The Clean Up and The Love Inside. She is currently developing a television series with her husband, actor and writer Nathan Keyes.
Most recently, Meehan appeared in the Off-Broadway production of The Cake, written by Bekah Brunstetter and directed by Lynne Meadow. In the play, Meehan played the role of Jen, a young woman who returns to her hometown to get married and asks her conservative baker friend to make her wedding cake. The play explores themes of love, family, and acceptance.
Meehan's performance in The Cake was praised by critics, with The New York Times calling her "terrific" and "compelling." The production was also a hit with audiences, and it was extended twice due to popular demand.
