If you’re looking for a wholesome yet hilarious evening out supporting your local theatre, look no further than the UK Tour of Steel Magnolias, which this week hit the Theatre Royal Brighton for its latest stop on tour.

The UK tour of Steel Magnolias is to end three months earlier than planned.

Steel Magnolias, the hilarious and heart-warming play based on a true story, which enjoyed huge global success in the hit 1989 film adaptation starring Dolly Parton and Julia Roberts, is coming to Theatre Royal Brighton from Tuesday 28 February to Saturday 4 March 2023 as part of an extensive UK and Ireland tour. 

As with so many famous films, there was first a play. Robert Harling’s Steel Magnolias remains best known for being the 1989 weepie with a stellar cast featuring Dolly Parton, Sally Fields and Julia Roberts, but began life Off-Broadway over thirty years ago.

Theatre Royal Brighton's brand new What's On Guide is out now! Packed with top quality entertainment, there's a fabulous choice of shows this season from Mother Goose starring Ian McKellen and John Bishop this December, to Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons starring Aidan Turner and Jenna Coleman next March.

Entertainment Event Productions today announced that the Off-Broadway premiere of the smash UK hit GIRLS NIGHT: THE MUSICAL, written by Louise Roche and directed by Jack Randle, will continue through October 4th. Performances began June 2nd, and was scheduled for a limited engagement runs through July 26th at the Downstairs Cabaret Theatre at Sofia's (227 West 46th Street, next to the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre).
