Mark Rylance returns to the West End this summer in Dr Semmelweis opening at the Harold Pinter Theatre on 11 July, with previews from 29 June, and running until Saturday 7 October. The critically acclaimed Bristol Old Vic production, directed by Tom Morris, opened in 2022, and sees Rylance reprise the title role.
Today's top stories include the West End debut of Keala Settle! It was recently announced that the Greatest Showman star will make her West End debut in & Juliet in the role of Nurse beginning March 29. She will be performing the role through June 18.
Previewing at the Apollo Theatre from 16 April 2022 with the opening night on 28 April 2022, Jerusalem will run until 6 August 2022. There will be over 800 seats at £15 or under each week across the house throughout the run with additional education rates of £25 per student ticket.

According to the Guardian, three-time Tony winner Mark Rylance has resigned as an associate artist with the UK's Royal Shakespeare Company due to a sponsorship deal with BP. He explained: "I do not wish to be associated with BP any more than I would with an arms dealer, a tobacco salesman or anyone who wilfully destroys the lives of others alive and unborn. Nor, I believe, would William Shakespeare."

Kicking off the final weekend of its run, Interact Theatre Company has added a 'Pay What You Can' performance of Nice Fish on Thursday, March 22, at 8pm. The play, written by Mark Rylance and Louis Jenkins and directed by Rob Brownstein and Anita Khanzadian, features (in alphabetical order) Kristen Egermeier, Don Fischer, Rick Friesen, Barry Heins, and Tamika Simpkins. The run ends this coming Sunday, March 25, at 4pm.
