Riley Elton McCarthy's THE LESBIAN PLAY Will Receive Industry Reading at ART/NY


Basement Light Productions is set to host a closed industry reading of Riley Elton McCarthy's THE LESBIAN PLAY, directed by Colleen Morgen, at ART/NY's South Oxford Space on November 30th at 7:30PM ahead of an OFF-BROADWAY opening of the production at The Triad Theater in June 2023. The Triad Theater production will be the first fully realized staged production of The Lesbian Play and feature a deeply revised, never before-seen version of the script.

Wild Ginger Project To Open THE SUMMONING At Alchemical Studios


Wild Ginger Project announces the opening of THE SUMMONING, a new play written by Charlotte Ahlin, and directed by Kat Yen. The production will open March 6, 2020 at Alchemical Studios and run through March 23, 2020; Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays and Mondays at 7pm. Tickets are available now.

Lyric Stage Names Courtney O'Connor Associate Artistic Director


The Lyric Stage Company of Boston's Producing Artistic Director, Spiro Veloudos, Managing Director, Matt Chapuran, and its Board of Directors today announced that they have named Courtney O'Connor as the company's new Associate Artistic Director.  She assumed her full-time duties at the Lyric Stage on July 9, 2018.

The 6th Annual Boston One-Minute Play Festival Returns: Nasty Women Strike Back!


The Boston One-Minute Play Festival (#1MPF) returns with a twist: the sixth annual festival will celebrate the works of all women-identified playwrights and directors, as part of 1MPF's National Women's Initiative. Boston joins New York, Minneapolis, Chicago, South Florida, and other cities including an all women-identified cohort of artists this season. The aim of this program is to get a cohort of women-identified theatremakers in the room, uphold the important themes, ideas, conversations, and dialogues that bubble up to the surface, and hold space for valuable community conversations.
