Sofia Wylie Stars In The DBP Donut Short Form Series SHOOK on Disney Channel


Multitalented performer Sofia Wylie ('High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,' 'Andi Mack') headlines the scripted modern/hip-hop dance series 'SHOOK' which, after gaining viewer acclaim on YouTube, will have its television debut during a special programming event, MONDAY, JAN. 20 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EST/PST) on Disney Channel and DisneyNOW.

Production has begun on 'Shook,' a modern hip-hop dance focused short-form series, starring popular actress, singer and dancer Sofia Wylie (Disney Channel's 'Andi Mack,' and the upcoming 'High School Musical: The Musical: The Series' for Disney+). 'Shook' will be made available SATURDAY, SEPT. 28, on Disney Channel's YouTube.

NAACP Reveals Nominations For The 28th Annual Theatre Awards


Once again, the NAACP Beverly Hills/Hollywood Branch's Theatre Viewing Committee has spoken, and the nominations are in for the 28th Annual NAACP Theatre Awards. This year's pedigreed list of nominees collectively represents a rich, extensive dossier of legacies and accolades for both stage and screen. These nominees include members of a legendary 'gospel royal family' as well as a Legend whose part of an elite group of artists in the EGOT winners circle. These, along with all their fellow nominees, will be honored for their excellence on the small and large stages during our annual awards dinner, slated to be held on Monday, June 17, 2019, 6:00 p.m.at the prestigious Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles, California.

Elephant Theatre Company Presents LITTLE FLOWER OF EAST ORANGE, 11/6-12/19


Following the much acclaimed west coast premiere production of Parasite Drag by Mark Roberts, the Elephant Theatre Company concludes its 14th season with the west coast premiere of The Little Flower of East Orange by Stephen Adly Guirgis, directed by Elephant artistic director David Fofi. Performances begin Thursday, November 4, and opening night is set for Saturday, November 6. The Little Flower of East Orange will play a strictly limited engagement through December 19.

LITTLE FLOWER OF EAST ORANGE Opens at Lillian Theatre, 11/12


Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts, the west coast premiere production of The Little Flower of East Orange by Stephen Adly Guirgis, directed by David Fofi, will now open on Friday, November 12 (a Saturday 11/6 opening had been previously announced). There will be preview performances on Saturday, November 6 at 8pm and Sunday, November 7 at 7pm. The Little Flower of East Orange will play a limited engagement through December 19 only.
