LAUREN Z. ADLEMAN is a Brooklyn-based director who has an affinity for the imaginative, the absurd, and for new work development. She has developed new plays with a variety of NYC based organizations including Ars Nova, Dixon Place, The Tank, the NYU Graduate Writing Department, Exquisite Corpse Company, Bookshop Workshop, and as a co-founder/resident director of PLAYxPLAY: a staged reading series, producing and presenting a night of shorts by an emerging playwright. In addition, Lauren is a co-curator and co-founder of Drinking Plays & Reading Wine, a casual play reading salon series in residency at Jimmy's No. 43 in the East Village.
As an assistant, Lauren has worked with Rachel Chavkin, Anne Kauffman, Les Waters, Ken Rus Schmoll, Elizabeth Swados, Sam Pinkleton, and 600 Highwaymen: Abigail Browde + Michael Silverstone.
