LAUREN Z. ADLEMAN is a Brooklyn-based director who has an affinity for the imaginative, the absurd, and for new work development. She has developed new plays with a variety of NYC based organizations including Ars Nova, Dixon Place, The Tank, the NYU Graduate Writing Department, Exquisite Corpse Company, Bookshop Workshop, and as a co-founder/resident director of PLAYxPLAY: a staged reading series, producing and presenting a night of shorts by an emerging playwright. In addition, Lauren is a co-curator and co-founder of Drinking Plays & Reading Wine, a casual play reading salon series in residency at Jimmy's No. 43 in the East Village.As an assistant, Lauren has worked with Rachel Chavkin, Anne Kauffman, Les Waters, Ken Rus Schmoll, Elizabeth Swados, Sam Pinkleton, and 600 Highwaymen: Abigail Browde + Michael Silverstone.

THML Theatre Company continues its fall reading series with a presentation of A Play Titled After the Collective Noun for Female-Identifying 20-Somethings Living in NYC in the 2010s by Haleh Roshan. The reading, directed by Lauren Z. Adleman, will take place on Monday, November 22nd at 7:30pm at The Center at West Park.

Two of a Mind is an evening of solo performances exploring the restlessness of the human mind and shedding light on mental illness that lies beneath the surface through a combination of comedy, movement, and astrophysics. Performing at the Alchemical Theatre Laboratory (104 W 14th St, New York, NY 10011) on May 12, 13, and 14 at 7pm the evening consists of two new plays; The Insomniac's Almanac written and performed by Austin Crowley, directed by TJ Weaver, and Journey to the Center of a Black Hole written and performed by Paige Goodloe, developed with and directed by Lauren Z.
