Auditorium Theatre Auxiliary Board to Host 'Devil's Ball'


Take a trip back in time with the Auditorium Theatre Auxiliary Board at the Devil's Ball on Friday, June 14, 2019. This signature event, inspired by the 1893 World's Fair, features drinks, dancing, and dining on the same stage that has welcomed legendary performers including Aretha Franklin, the Bolshoi Ballet, David Bowie, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Bernadette Peters, Chance the Rapper, and many more. The Devil's Ball is hosted annually by the Auxiliary Board, a dedicated group of young professionals devoted to raising awareness and generating support for the Auditorium Theatre.

The 49th Annual Nashville Film Festival Announces The 2018 Music Films/Music City Competition Selections


 On the heels of announcing that Steven Tyler's documentary OUT ON A LIMB would open the 49th Annual Nashville Film Festival, the festival continued its lineup of major talent participation with today's announcement of the Music Films/Music City Selections for the 2018 Festival (May 10-19, 2018). Films featuring artists as diverse as David Letterman, Ronnie and Johnny Van Zant, Brian “Head” Welch of KoRn, The Edge and Al Sharpton are included in this competition of films about music, musicians and the impact music has on our lives.

Dance for Life Raises $233,000 at Annual Gala


Chicago Dancers United (CDU), which mobilizes Chicago's dance community by raising funds through dance, welcomed nearly 2,300 guests at the 26th annual Dance for Life Chicago performance August 19 at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University, 50 E. Congress Pkwy. Approximately 600 guests attended a pre-performance gala reception at the Hilton Chicago, 720 S. Michigan Avenue. From a combination of ticket sales, sponsorships and contributions, Dance for Life Chicago raised more than $233,000 to support Chicago Dancers United's The Dancers' Fund, which provides assistance to members of the dance community coping with critical health and life issues, and the AIDS Foundation of Chicago.

Auditorium Theatre Hosts Annual Trivia Night Fundraiser


The Auditorium Theatre Auxiliary Board hosts its fourth annual Shhh…It's Trivia Night! fundraiser on Wednesday, May 10, at 5:30PM. The event takes place at the Murray-Green Library at Roosevelt University's historic Auditorium Building (430 S Michigan Ave). Proceeds from the event benefit Auditorium Theatre's Hands Together, Heart to Art, a performing arts summer camp for children who have experienced the death of a parent.

THE DEVIL'S BALL Set for Auditorium Theatre Tonight


The Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University's Auxiliary Board brings 'Old Chicago' back to the National Historic Landmark Theatre with the fifth annual The Devil's Ball, tonight, Oct. 2 from 7:30 - 11 p.m. The lobby of the iconic Auditorium Theatre is the backdrop for this unique gathering for its 300 expected guests. Revelers are treated to fabulous food, entertainment, theatre tours and more, as they raise funds and generate awareness for the preservation of the Auditorium Theatre as well as the Auditorium's diverse educational programming.  This year's new addition is a surprise live performance. Tickets are $65 through Today, Sept. 18 at midnight; $75 through Thursday, Oct. 1 at midnight and are available online at  AuditoriumTheatre.org. Tickets are also available at the door for $85 (cash only.)
