The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Evans Haile, Executive Director), dedicated to the development of new musicals and rediscovery of musical gems from the past, in association with Riki Kane Larimer and Keylight Productions, presents the return engagement of the hit Off-Broadway musical Enter Laughing: The Musical with book by Joseph Stein and music and lyrics by Stan Daniels, based on the play Enter Laughing by Joseph Stein from the novel by Carl Reiner. Enter Laughing: The Musical, with direction and musical staging by York Theatre favorite Stuart Ross (York's Forever Plaid, Enter Laughing) , music direction by Phil Reno (Something Rotten), and choreography by Jennifer Paulson-Lee (Enter Laughing), returns to kick off The York's year-long 50th Anniversary Celebration. Performances began May 7, 2019 for a limited return engagement through Sunday, June 9, 2019 at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). Opening Night is TONIGHT, May 16, 2019 at 6:45 p.m.

Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) presents their popular Writer-Producer Speed Date on Sunday, March 4, 2018. In deference to Oscar night, the event will start one hour earlier than usual: from 4:30pm - 8:00pm at NOLA Rehearsal Studio, 244 W 54th St., 11th floor. Application is free, and you must apply prior to purchasing your spot, on sale February 24, 2018. If accepted, there is a participation fee of $70 for TRU Members ($85 for non-members, $25 for each collaborator), and your pitch slot can be purchased at https://truonline.org/events/speed-date-03-04-18/.

California State University, Fullerton begins the spring 2018 season with Alan Ayckbourn's comedy, Taking Steps. Seasoned professional Mark Ramont directs the production, which runs February 23-March 18, 2018 in the Hallberg Theatre on campus. The comedy centers around the tale of Roland, a hard-drinking, irascible tycoon who is interested in buying an old Victorian house that was once a brothel. His wife, a frustrated dancer, constantly threatening to leave him, joins in this frenetic race up and down the dark mansion's many steps in what The Evening News called 'a farce of riotous delight.'

Tony nominated Cry Baby, the Musical with music by Adam Schlesinger, lyrics by David Javerbaum and book by Mark O'Donnell and Thomas Meehan opens at CSUF on October 27th. The production features direction by CSUF alum Sarah Ripper, musical direction by Mitchell Hanlon and choreography by William F. Lett, and runs October 27-November 12, 2017 in the Little Theatre on campus.

Mike Longo is ecstatic to be back with NYMF, only this time, a part of 2012's Next Broadway Sensation! This Bensonhurst, Brooklyn native was last seen with NYMF '11 in Gerard Alessandrini's 'Madame X' starring Donna English. He has just returned from Surflight Theatre's production of 'Once Upon A Time In New Jersey' co-starring with previous NYMF Broadway Sensation 2007 winner, George Psomas. Other credits include Villa Diodati: A Chamber Opera and Joe Stein's Heaven Can Wait, both at the York Theatre.
