SOMETHING SUDDEN 5WEPT 0V3R ME, a new play written by Steven Mark Tenney and directed & choreographed by Susan Tenney, has been nominated for seven 2013 Planet Connections Theatre Awards. The awards ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, August 4th with red carpet arrivals starting at 6pm and curtain at 7pm at The Ailey Citigroup Theater (405 West 55th Street) in Manhattan.

SOMETHING SUDDEN 5WEPT 0V3R ME, a new play written by Steven Mark Tenney and directed & choreographed by Susan Tenney, began performances at the Robert Moss Theatre (440 Lafayette Street, NYC) on June 5th as part of the Planet Connections Theatre Festivity, New York's premiere eco-friendly/socially-conscious arts festival. The benefitting organization for this production is Rainforest Alliance. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

STAGES Performing Arts Academy expanded their teen performance workshop this Summer by moving to the state-of-the-art Skip Viragh Center for the Arts at Chaminade College Preparatory School. The three-week program features professional teachers, directors, and guest artists from around the country, resulting in a final full-scale production of Urinetown: The Musical. As STAGES Performing Arts Academy teens neared the end of the rehearsal process, they were greeted by a surprise audience member. On August 2nd, Hunter Foster, who originated the lead role of Bobby Strong in the first Broadway production of Urinetown, stopped in to catch the final dress rehearsal of the show, offering a very special "break a leg" to the young cast. This Summer the STAGES Performing Arts Academy expands by moving their teen performance workshop to the state-of-the-art Skip Viragh Center for the Arts at Chaminade College Preparatory School. The three-week workshop began July 16 resulting in a final full-scale performance on August 3rd, which will feature professional teachers, directors, and guest artists from around the country, along with talented teens, making this hit musical comedy come to life.
