Picnic at Hanging Rock, a new musical adaptation by hit songwriter/composer Greta Gertler Gold and the O'Neill Center's Eric Kocher Award- winning playwright Hilary Bell, will receive an industry reading on Thursday, November 16 at 3:00pm and Friday, November 17 at 11:00am at Open Jar Studios (1601 Broadway).

David Alan Thornton makes his Greenroom 42 debut in Acting Out! The Songs of David Alan Thornton. All proceeds from the concert will go to benefit Playhouse Creatures Theatre Company's Little Creatures Act Out program, which brings performing arts opportunities to underserved children in NYC. Rounding out the cast are Jade Turner, Elixis Morton, Dillan Smith and Jeremy Konopka. The concert is directed by Dan Barron, music directed by Michael Pacifico, produced by Franklin Livingston, with casting by Courtney Hammond.

Anything Goes. Oklahoma. Follies. La Cage Aux Folles. Those four musicals, plus many others, all got their start at Boston's important Colonial Theatre. Now, as the Colonial is in danger of shutting it doors, Feinstein's/54 Below celebrated the famed venue with an evening of songs and stories last night and BroadwayWorld was there.
