Peace One Day has today revealed that long-standing #PeaceDay ambassador, Annie Lennox OBE, and Academy Award Winner Forest Whitaker, will join the impressive list of famous faces uniting for a Live Global Digital Experience on the 21 September 2020, the UN International Day of Peace.

Composer, singer-songwriter, actor, author and activist Sting will headline celebrations for Peace One Day's 20th anniversary at Shakespeare's Globe on London's Bankside this September. This year Sting was recognised by the BMI Pop Awards for his enduring hit single “Every Breath You Take” as the Most Performed Song on radio, and he will close the concert with a special performance for Peace Day.

Peace Day Austin together with GlobalAustin's Welcoming Week for Austin's resident international and immigrant communities are hosting an 11-day, citywide celebration of the United Nations International Day of Peace from September 11-21. This year marks the 125th year since Glenwood Hot Springs first opened to the public in 1888. This year 235 feature length, documentary and short films - from 57 countries - will be screened over a six-day period In locations throughout the state, all vying for top awards. Out of over 7,000 film festivals worldwide, RIIFF is one of only 63 Academy Award qualifying Festivals. This year's films have been selected from a record entry base of over 3,000 submissions.
