BIO
Jay Duckworth is the founder of the Prop Summit a yearly meeting of Broadway, off - Broadway, LORT theaters and Academic prop professionals and student . He has been the Keynote Speaker for The Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival as a guest of United States Institute of Theater Technology 2011 & 2015. Headed Master classes in Properties at numerous Universities. The roll call of shows he has create original work for starts in remastered Classic Greek Theater, re-imagined Shakespeare plays and musicals including Hamilton and stark Brechtian shows and continues with contemporary and ink wet works at his residency at The Public Theater in New York City.
He boasts over 20 years’ experience in LORT & Off -Bway theater, fast paced summer stocks, independent films, TV, music videos and over 50 off Broadway shows credit his name as a Props Master and Props Designer.

If you're a history buff, you might have noticed something in a movie, TV show or stage production that wasn't quite right. Turns out, it's possible there's an easy explanation. We're tasked with maintaining the historical integrity of the production, but the storytelling is always our first duty. If you are like me or my friends, you always notice these things, and hopefully now you might be a little more willing to let it slide next time you might see something imperfect in a TV show or movie.

The Collaborator Party Returns For Its Fourth Year With New Co-Hosts

Today, The Collaborator Party, headed by theatrical sound designers Lindsay Jones and John Gromada, announced that their event will return for its fourth year in New York City, after three years of the now legendary sold-out parties across the country. The Collaborator Party is the official Tony night party for the entire theatre community. This year, the main party will be held June 10, 2018 at Houston Hall (222 W. Houston St. in New York City) from 7pm-11pm EDT, with additional parties taking place simultaneously in Chicago, Houston and Los Angeles.
