Hannah Z. Morley

Hannah Z. Morley (they/she) is a musical theatre bookwriter, lyricist, and a writer of any other genre they can get their hands on.

Born on the opposite coast, Morley likes putting things where they don’t belong. Morley’s work has been performed at 54 Below, Joe’s Pub, The Tank, N.Y.U. Tisch, Pennsylvania’s Media Theatre, and The University of California, Santa Barbara. Morley’s notable writing credits include productions of the shows "Brace Yourself: A Musical Apocalypse" with Gabi Gibboney (2023 - Present), the play "Sisterhood" (2024), the play Brett, Age 26, the musical film Homebrewed: A Musical Quest (released June 2025), and the stage musical "Shake On It" (2017).

Morley is an MFA graduate from NYU Tisch in musical theatre writing and primarily spends their time writing optimistic queer stories across genres that are meant to make her friends smile :).
