Just last night, The Women of Achievement Awards Gala celebrated truly outstanding women who have taken risks, pushed limits, and broken ground in a wide variety of fields. This year honored leaders committed to advancing women's narratives and to sharing women's voices on stage, in film and on television: eleven-time Tony Award winning producer Daryl Roth (Kinky Boots, Indecent) and Goldman Sachs Treasurer Beth Hammack.

On last night's THE VOICE, contestant Gabriel Violett, who starred as Otto in the original production of Broadway's SPRING AWAKENING wowed judges Alicia Keys and Blake Shelton with his cover of Shawn Mendes' 'Treat You Better.'

RISE BAR is seeking its next RISING STAR! Hosted by Broadway's Marty Thomas (Xanadu, The Secret Garden, Wicked), the RISING STAR competition begins Sunday March 6! The contestants will be competing in a 10 week elimination style contest for a $1000 cash prize and paid bookings at RISE Bar with their respective solo show. In addition to its cash and prize package, RISING STAR is offering networking opportunities with guest celebrity judges, fantastic exposure and valuable live stage experience. The winner will receive a headshot package by Claire Buffie photography. They will also receive a demo package provided by Yasuhiko Fukuoka. Young Lauren Cruddas has read and become fascinated with a lot of paranormal romance books. However, she discovered that in many of the books she read, she found some parts that 'just weren't quite right.' She also thought that there were some parts missing or the ending just was not what she wanted. In her quest to find books that suited her taste, she soon developed a passion to entertain people and share with them the enjoyment she found in such books. Now, she debuts with her own romance fiction: 'FeatherFall.'

#UntitledPopMusical, the new musical conceived and written by Michael Kimmel (The Last Goodbye), with music and lyrics by Drew Gasparini (Smash) will have it's debut concert at (Le) Poisson Rouge (158 Bleecker Street, between Thompson and Sullivan), tonight, June 24th 2013 at 7pm. The concert will feature Julia Mattison (Godspell), Lauren Pritchard (Spring Awakening), Lisa Brescia (Wicked, Mama Mia), Andrew Kober (Hair) and F. Michael Haynie (Wicked, Dogfight). Produced by the Wild Project, tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the door or at www.lprnyc.com.

The Industry-only two-day event features 8 new musicals in 45-minute staged readings.

NYMF has just announced the winners of their Best of Fest awards. Set to perform at this year's gala are the casts of the winning shows, as well as Sh-K-Boom's own Sherie Rene Scott, Alice Ripley, Gavin Creel, and Kelli O'Hara. The event will take place on Sunday, November 22nd, at 6:30pm at the Edison Ballroom.
