Newport Playhouse and Cabaret Restaurant is thrilled to continue their 36th Season with the farce Clothes Encounters by Roger Karshner, a farce of double-meanings, mistaken identities, and sexual innuendo. Two couples. One out-of-control shower head. 'A non-stop evening of hilarious nonsense.' (The Portland Oregonian) Directed by W. Richard Johnson, Clothes Encounters opens with a daytime matinee on Thursday April 4, and runs through Friday, May 25, 2019.

American Renaissance Theater Company presents WinterWorks 2018: Look Me In The Eyes, an engaging observation of couples and coupling taking place at the intimate Directors Studio of the Directors Company (311 West 43rd Street) starting January 24th and running through February 4th. Kathleen Swan produces along with co-producers Carla Brandberg and Mark Levine.

Good Theater the professional company in residence at the St. Lawrence Arts Center, 76 Congress Street, Portland, will open its next main stage production, THE MAY QUEEN on January 25.  In addition the company will present three performances per week of A.R. Gurney's LOVE LETTERS.  From January 25-February 26, the company will offer 33 days of continuous theater giving nine performances per week.

American Renaissance Theater Company will present WinterWorks 2016: A Festival of New One Act Plays, three programs of intimate new plays in The Shop @Cap 21 from January 5 thru 18. Anita Khanzadian directs the world premiere of All American Girl for InterACT Theatre Company, opening tonight, July 3 at the Lounge Theatre in Hollywood.

The Bronx Opera's 48th Season comes to a close with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's THE MARRIAGE OF FIGARO. A massive orchestra recently rolled into the opulent Lovinger Theater at Lehman College for the production. Scroll down for photos of the musicians in rehearsal!

The Women in the Arts & Media Coalition has announced the winners of the 2013 Collaboration Awards. The Collaboration Awards, which recognize women who successfully collaborate across disciplines to create new and influential work, will be presented at the Awards Gala tonight, October 24th at Baruch Performing Arts Center's Engelman Auditorium in New York City. Madeleine Smithberg, Emmy and Peabody Award winning co-creator and original executive producer of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, will keynote the evening's Gala.

The Bronx Opera invites you to follow the famed mischievous brother and sister into Ilsenstein forest and meet the echoing trees, the little Sandman, the 14 angels of protection, the little Dew Fairy, and emerge in front of the enormous gingerbread house and meet the evil Rosine Leckermaul ('Rosina Tastymuzzle'), the evil witch that turns children into gingerbread in this classic Humperdinck opera based on the famed Brother Grimm story.

The Wonderful World of Conundrum Stages, Vol. 1: Lights Up! is a live compilation spotlighting seasoned talent in different mediums of performance. It also introduces an organization whose mission is to enlighten audiences by promoting resident talent in an effort to strengthen camaraderie in the performing arts, therefore reaching out to all communities in Southeast Florida.
