BIO
From Boy Band to Broadway, Diego Rios is fast becoming an International household name. A member of Kardo, the "Mexican" version of Il Divo, Diego and his boy band brothers melted the hearts and soothed the souls of many fans in his home country of Mexico.
Diego knew his future was in New York, where he studied in the conservatory program at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. His fluency in Spanish and English, with barely a noticeable accent and a coloratura range, has set him apart as one of the most aspiring talents emerging in the shadows of Broadway.
His theatrical credits include Cyrano de Bergerac the Musical, Monsters the Musical, Rent, Jesus Christ Superstar (as Jesus), and Fantasia: A Disney Musical Collage, all in his home country. In New York, Diego has appeared as Joe/Applegate in Damn Yankees, Harry in Company, and most recently in the OFF-BROADWAY revival of Let My People Come. His stage training includes acting, musical theatre, dance, improv, and vocals. Diego professes that he can play piano by ear, roller skate, ice skate, is trained in first aid and CPR, and can even drive stick shift car. Currently he is working for Camp Broadway as a Featured Player.
