Chongren Fan BIO

Chongren Fan is a New York-based bilingual stage director, originally from Shanghai, China. He is the Artistic Director of Yangtze Rep and Producing Associate at Pan Asian Rep. Directing Credits: Damon Chua’s The Emperor’s Nightingale (Theatre Row, 2019 OBA Award nomination); Friedrich Dürrenmatt’s Romulus the Great (TBG Theatre); Frances Ya-Chu Cowhig’s 410[GONE] (TFTNC), China Premiere of Marie Jones’ Stones in His Pockets (Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center). Upcoming productions: Tiger Style! (TheatreSquared, AR); Citizen Wong (Off-Broadway World Premiere at Pan Asian Rep). He has been a guest lecturer at Barnard College and Yale School of Drama. Einhorn Prize Reading Announced At Triad Theater, December 11

On Sunday December 11 at 2pm, there will be a presentation of the winners of the first David A. Einhorn Playwriting Prize The event will be held at the Triad Theater, 158 W. 72nd Street. The event will run 90 minutes and include readings of the 1st and 2nd prize winners, some words about David Einhorn, and a talkback on the topics addressed by the plays.
