Brian Gillespie is a director and actor based in New York City. He holds an MFA from the University of Washington's Professional Actor Training Program. His directing credits include WONDER OF THE WORLD with Pull Together Productions and JUST KNOTS with CEO Theatre as well as works with Primary Stages, The Internationalists, Chelsea Rep Lab and Left Hip Produtions in NYC. Acting credits include ONE THING I LIKE TO SAY IS and ALMOST, MAINE with CEO Theatre, TWO SPOONS with Other Side Productions and 365 DAYS/PLAYS at The Public Theater. Regionally he has worked with Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, Theatreworks, Word for Word, Shakespeare Theatre of NJ, A Noise Within and 42nd Street Moon in San Francisco, where his work in PAINT YOUR WAGON earned him a Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Award. Film work includes NEW YORK LATELY and WHAT THEY WANT. He is also the Artistic Director of Pull Together Productions in New York City, www.pulltogetherproductions.org. Urban Stages (Frances Hill, Founding Artistic Director) will begin 2020 with The Tourist Trap plays. Seven playwrights have been challenged to write a brand spanking new short play using a tourist trap (Mount Rushmore, Hollywood Sign, etc) as a springboard. This will be the ninth installment of short play premieres under Urban Stages New Pages' facilitated by Bara Swain. The program provides increased visibility and networking opportunities to playwrights at all career levels as well as free public programming.

Get ready all you "Rocky Horror" fans! There's a new show in town that is begging for you to join in the fun, just as long as you don't mind being splattered with blood, breaking pencils, or waving pompoms. Due to robust ticket sales and an ever-increasing dedicated fan base, RE-ANIMATOR THE MUSICAL has added nine additional performances at the Steve Allen Theater in Hollywood through November 23. The blood flows so freely during the show that the first 3 rows are designated as a "splash zone." So bring your raincoat or accept a plastic trash bag from the stage manager for protection.
